Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The 26th International Mediterranean Tourism Exhibition IMTM-2020 was held on 11-12 February in Tel Aviv, Israel, at which Uzbekistan presented its national stand, Dunyo news agency reported.
IMTM is Israel’s professional annual tourism industry fair and also the largest tourism fair in the Mediterranean. It is supported by the Ministry of Tourism, the Hotel Association, the Association of Travel Agencies and the Association of Tour Operators of Israel. This year the exhibition attracted more than 26.8 thousand visitors and 1.9 thousand participants from more than 57 countries of the world.
Our republic with the support of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Israel was represented by Uzbekistan Airways JSC and Zamin Travel travel company.
Comprehensive information on the tourist potential of the republic and samples of applied art were presented at the national stand. In particular, brochures and flyers introduced popular routes, types of tourism, tourism infrastructure, visa regulations and the latest reforms in this industry.
Within the framework of the fair, performances of Uzbek dancers took place, which performed national Uzbek dances, setting a special mood for the event.
Meetings were also held with representatives of foreign tour companies at which the prospects for possible cooperation were discussed.
