Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- According to preliminary data, in January-December 2019, enterprises of the Republic of Uzbekistan produced industrial products worth 331.0 trillion soums, the index of physical volume of industrial production compared to the same period of last year was 6.6%.
A major factor in the growth of physical volume of industrial production was the growth in manufacturing industry - by 9.4%, electricity, gas supply, steam and air conditioning - 0.3%, water supply, sewerage, waste collection and disposal - 6.3%, a reduction in mining and quarrying by 1.0%.
The volume of products produced by mining and quarrying enterprises in January-December 2019 made up 43.1 trillion soums, or 13.0% of the total industry. Compared to the same period of last year, there is an increase in gravel by 26.6% and kaolin by 29.3%, while there is a decrease in coal production by 3.0%, oil-by 6.3%, gas condensate-by 2.2%, crushed stone-by 24.2% and natural gas production-by 1.6%.
Manufacturing enterprises in January-December 2019 produced products worth 264.4 trillion soums, or 79.9% of the total industry.
In the structure of the manufacturing industry, compared to the corresponding period of the previous year, the share of high-tech industries was 1.6% (1.4% in January-December 2018), medium-high tech – 25.3% (27.8%), mediumlow-tech-37.5% (32.1%) and low-tech-35.5% ( 38.7%).
In the manufacturing industry, the share of enterprises producing, repairing, assembling machinery and equipment, producing cars, trailers, semi-trailers and other finished products was 22.3% (the growth of the physical volume index compared to January – December 2018 increased by 19.9%), the share of the metallurgical industry – 22.0% (6.9%), enterprises producing textile, clothing and leather products - 16.1% (5.7%), the production of food, beverages and tobacco products-16.1% (8.5%), enterprises producing chemical products, rubber and plastic products – 9.7% (4.0%).
At the same time, in the manufacturing industry, in comparison with the corresponding period of the last year, the production of trucks increased by 1.3 times, passenger cars - by 1.2 times, automobile engines - by 1.3 times, buses - by 1.6 times, running wheels, their parts and accessories - 1.2 times, radiators, silencers and exhaust pipes, clutches, steering wheels, steering columns, crankcase steering gears and their parts - 1.4 times.
In January-December 2019, 1 534 buses were produced in the Republic (an increase of 1.6 times compared to the corresponding period last year), while the largest volume of their production was recorded in March of this year, amounting to 204 pcs.
In January-December 2019, the Republic produced 200.6 thousand units of automobile engines (126.4%), while the largest volume of their production was recorded in October of this year, amounting to 25.1 thousand units.
In January-December 2019, the Republic produced 5 320 trucks (125.6%), with the largest volume of their production recorded in November of this year, amounting to 616 units.
In the automobile industry, in January-December 2019, 73 151 Nexia cars were produced (growth rates were 123.3% compared to the same period of last year), 56 211 – “Cobalt” (149.4%), 51 824 - “Damas” (149.7%), 44 508 - “Gentra” (133.6%), 24 249 - “Spark” (83.4%), 7 930 - “Tracker”, 7 288 - “Labo” (98.7%) and 5 944 - Malibu (89.7%).
In January-December 2019, 2 022 tractors were produced in the Republic, while the largest volume of their production was recorded in December of this year and made up 739 units.
In January-December 2019, 2 043 rippers and cultivators were produced in the Republic, with the largest volume of their production recorded in April of this year, which made up 325 pcs.
The overhaul of technological equipment allowed increasing the capacity utilization of chemical enterprises and exceeding the previous year’s production indicators for mineral fertilizers containing nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium (90.3% to January-December 2018), ammonium sulfate (+4.9%), potassium chloride (109.2%), ammonium nitrate (+3.9%), urea (+6.2%), paints and varnishes based on acrylic or vinyl polymers (+21.0%), caustic soda (+50.0% ).
The volume of products produced by power supply, gas, steam and air conditioning companies made up 21.3 trillion soums (6.4% of the total industry). In this industry, the volume index increased by 0.3% compared to the corresponding period last year.
The volume of products produced by water supply, sewerage, waste collection and disposal enterprises made up 2.3 trillion soums (0.7% of the total industry). Compared with the corresponding period of last year, there is an increase in recycled materials containing aluminum by 1.5 times, recycled materials containing copper by 1.8 times, services for emptying, cleaning and processing of cesspools, sumps and septic tanks – by 1.7 times, services for processing and distribution of water through water pipes - by 17.8%, services for disposal, transportation of waste water and their treatment - by 25.6%, services for collecting non – hazardous waste-by 48.8%.
As a result of the measures taken to expand the range and stimulate the production of finished products, the production of consumer goods made up 111.5 trillion soums and in comparison with the corresponding period of 2018 increased by 12.1%, the share in the total volume of industry made up 33.7%.
In comparison with the same period of 2018, the structure of consumer goods production in January-December 2019 showed a decrease in the share of non-grocery goods from 69.0% to 68.0%. In the structure of food production, the production of wine and vodka products and beer made up 7.1% (7.3% in January-December 2018).
In the structure of production of consumer goods of the Republic, the largest share falls on Andijan region (23.9% of the total volume of consumer goods), Tashkent city (20.7%), Tashkent (10.2%), Samarkand (8.6%) and Ferghana (5.7%) regions. The highest growth in consumer goods production was recorded in Khorezm (122.7% compared to the corresponding period last year), Andijan (118.7%) and Kashkadarya regions (112.3%), exceeding the national average (112.1%).
In the structure of food production in the Republic, the largest share falls on the city of Tashkent (21.4% of the total volume of food products), Tashkent (16.4%), Samarkand (9.3%), Kashkadarya (6.5%) and Ferghana (6.4%) regions. At the same time, the largest growth in food production was recorded in Namangan region (125.5% compared to January-December 2018) and Surkhandarya region (121.7%), which is higher than the national average (115.9%).
In the structure of production of non-grocery goods of the Republic, the largest share falls on the Andijan region (32.5% of the total volume of nongrocery goods), Tashkent city (20.3%), Samarkand (8.2%), Tashkent (7.2%) and Khorezm (5.7%) regions. The highest growth in the production of non- grocery goods was recorded in Khorezm (127.3% compared to the corresponding period last year), Andijan (119.9%) and Kashkadarya regions (116.0%) , exceeding the national average (110.3%).
During the reporting period, enterprises with foreign investments produced products worth 95.1 trillion soums. The share of production of enterprises with foreign investments in the total production volume was 28.7%.
In January-December 2019, the share of enterprises with foreign investments in the total volume of industrial production was 28.7%. In the total output of enterprises with foreign investments, their share in the mining industry and quarrying made up 27.3%, and in the manufacturing industry-72.6%.
Consistent implementation of measures to increase the industrial potential of the regions contributed to a significant increase in the index of physical volume of industrial production in Andijan (+14.7% compared to January-December 2018), Khorezm (+11.7%), Tashkent (+8.2%), Namangan (+14.0%), Samarkand (+6.1%), Bukhara (+8.9%), Surkhandarya (+9.3%) regions and Tashkent city (111.1%).
In the structure of industrial output of the Republic, the largest share falls on the city of Tashkent (17.7% of the Republic’s industrial output), Tashkent (16.3%), Navoi (13.5%), Andijan (10.0%), Kashkadarya (6.2%) and Ferghana (5.9%) regions.
At the same time, there is a significant increase in the production of consumer goods in Andijan (+18.7% compared to January-December 2018), Khorezm (+22.7%), Namangan (+10.8%), Syrdarya (+6.1%), Bukhara (+7.7%), Ferghana (+9.4%), Surkhandarya (+11.9%) and Kashkadarya (+12.3%) regions. At the same time, it should be noted that the largest share of consumer goods was produced in the Andijan region (23.9% of the total volume of consumer goods in the Republic), Tashkent city (20.7%), Tashkent (10.2%) and Samarkand (8.6%) regions.
Analysis of the differentiation of industrial output per capita showed an excess of the national average (9 857.0 thousand soums) in Navoi region (45 067.7 thousand soums), Tashkent city (23 121.1 thousand soums), Tashkent (18 470.0 thousand soums) and Andijan (10 663.6 thousand soums) regions. Production of consumer goods per capita in the reporting period in the Republic made up 3 320.2 thousand soums, including in the city of Tashkent – 9 071.6 thousand soums, Andijan region – 8 594.5 thousand soums, Tashkent region – 3 876.3 thousand soums.
During the reporting period, small businesses produced products worth 115.4 trillion soums. The share of small business products in total production made up 34.9%.
By region, the largest share of small business was observed in Namangan (73.9% of the total volume of industry in the region), Tashkent city (67.4%), Jizzakh (66.5%), Samarkand (53.8%), Surkhandarya (53.0%), Syrdarya (47.2%) and Ferghana (43.6%) regions. At the same time, the smallest share of small businesses was observed in Navoi (12.9%), Kashkadarya (23.2%), Andijan (21.4%) and Tashkent (27.6%) regions, as well as in the Republic of Karakalpakstan (22.2%).
Today, 70.6 thousand industrial enterprises operate in the republic, of which 15.0 thousand (21.2% of the total number of operating enterprises) are in Tashkent, 7.7 thousand (10.9%) on Ferghana and 7.5 thousand (10.7%) - in Tashkent region.
In January-December 2019, 19 530 industrial enterprises were newly established in the Republic, of which 52.8% are located in Tashkent city, Samarkand, Tashkent, Ferghana and Andijan regions. Implementation of the Localization Program for the production of finished products, components and materials The development of the republic’s industrial production was also facilitated by the implementation of the Localization Program for the production of finished products, components and materials, under which 839 projects produced products worth 21.8 trillion soums, exported localized products - of 549.4 million US dollars, 10 038 new jobs were created. Compared to the same period of last year, in January-December 2019 the number of newly created jobs increased by 9.2 times. At the same time, compared to January-December 2018, there is an increase in the volume of exports of localized products.
