The activities of the "Inter-Parliamentary Women’s Club" to be established
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - During the official visit of the Senate Chairman Oliy Majlis Tanzila Narbaeva to the Republic of Kazakhstan, it was proposed to create an “Inter-Parliamentary Women’s Club” under the auspices of the Senates of the parliaments of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan and hold a business forum for business women of the two countries in order to establish cooperation in matters of further enhancing the activity of women in the life of the state and society, and broad support for women’s entrepreneurship. Kazakh officials supported the initiative of the Uzbek side.
It is worth noting that this parliamentary structure, which will allow women to actively participate in solving the most important issues in the life of the state and society, is primarily aimed at ensuring an integrated gender approach and the exchange of experience in this area. Also, the activities of this organization contribute to the implementation of an effective policy on issues related to women, ensuring that their interests are taken into account in every decision made by the state.
In countries where there are women’s parliamentary structures, such organizations play the role of an important platform when coordinating between the representatives of various parties the priority areas of legislation and are always effective in ensuring gender equality. The activities of these structures will also have a direct impact on the formation of the agenda of the parliament.
In this context, this agreement reached during the official visit of the parliamentary delegation led by the President of the Senate to the Republic of Kazakhstan, first of all, helps to further strengthen political ties between the countries, and also allows women of the two states to make a worthy contribution to the development of cooperation between Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan.
