Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) – A presidential resolution approved the Human Resources Development Strategy for the nuclear energy program of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

In accordance with the strategy, a state order will be formed for training personnel for the nuclear energy program.

For this, the need for these personnel will be determined, in order to prepare and retrain them, a list of specialties will be formed.

For information, according to the Presidential resolution, at the National University of Uzbekistan, Samarkand State University, new master’s degrees have been opened for training specialists in the field of nuclear energy, and training at the Tashkent State Technical University has been organized for students in the specialty "Energy (atomic energy)".

According to the Strategy, the personnel of the organization operating the nuclear power plant will be trained in 4 stages in the following areas:

- senior management personnel;

- operational personnel (operational and repair);

- technical support staff;

- administrative staff.

At the same time, the areas of bachelor’s training will be expanded, the direction of the master’s program will be opened at the National Nuclear Research University MEPhI in Tashkent.

The employees of this branch will also be encouraged with material incentives from the Atomic Energy Development Fund.

For the purposes of the strategy, cooperation will be established with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), the World Nuclear University at the World Nuclear Association (Great Britain), as well as educational institutions Rosatom (Russian Federation).
