Uzbek MFA advises citizens not to visit the Indian state of Bihar

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan recommended to citizens of the country not to visit the Indian state of Bihar due to an outbreak of acute encephalitis.
According to the Embassy of Uzbekistan in New Delhi, Acute Encephalitis Syndrome has spread in densely populated areas of the Indian state of Bihar.
According to official figures, the number of victims outweighed 80 people, mostly children. Local authorities are taking steps to eliminate the outbreak.
In this regard, the citizens of Uzbekistan, located in India, are encouraged to refrain from visiting the region and observe the precautionary measures, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan said.
