Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) – Uzbekistan introduced new marriageable age for men and women at the 18 years.
New changes will come into force on September 1, 2019.
According to the signed presidential decree, the age of marriage for girls has changed. For formal marriage, a girl must be 18 years old.
Currently, under the legislation, girls have the right to marry from the age of 17, and men from 18 years. Now the marriage age for men and women is equal and set at 18 years.
