Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- According to preliminary data, Uzbekistan enterprises produced industrial production worth 67.4 trillion soums in January-March 2019, the industrial production index for the same period of last year was 6.8%.
The main factor behind the growth in total industrial production was an increase in production in the mining industry and quarrying by 4.8%, manufacturing - by 7.6%, electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning - by 5.1%, water supply, sewerage , waste collection and disposal - by 9.4%.
The volume of products produced by mining and quarrying made up 9.0 trillion soums in January-March 2019, or 13.4% of the total industry.
Compared to the same period of last year, there has been an increase in natural gas production by 4.1% and gravel - by 2.0 times. At the same time, coal production decreased by 25.6%, oil - by 6.4%, gas condensate - by 2.0%, crushed stone - by 33.1%.
Manufacturing enterprises produced products to 52.4 trillion soums in January-March 2019, or 77.8% of the total industry.
In the structure of the manufacturing industry, as compared with the corresponding period of the previous year, the share of high-tech industries was 1.2% (1.4% in January-March 2018), medium-high-tech - 26.9% (26.6%), medium-low-tech - 38.1% (33.7%) and low-tech - 33.8% (38.3%).
In the total volume of industry, the share of enterprises for the production, repair and assembly of machinery and equipment, the production of cars, trailers, semi-trailers and other finished products reached 17.3% (23.0% increase by January-March 2018), the share of the metallurgical industry - 18.7% (5.9%), enterprises for the production of textile, clothing and leather products - 13.2% (2.7%), for the production of food, beverages and tobacco products - 11.0% (7, 9%), enterprises for the production of chemical products, rubber and plastic products - 7.7% (1.5%).
At the same time, in the manufacturing industry, as compared with the corresponding period of last year, the production of trucks increased by 2.7 times, passenger cars - by 1.5 times, automobile engines - by 1.6 times, buses - by 2, 9 times, wheels, their parts and accessories - 1.6 times, radiators, silencers and exhaust pipes, clutches, steering wheels, steering columns, crankcases of steering mechanisms and their parts - 1.6 times.
The overhaul of the process equipment made it possible to increase the capacity utilization of chemical enterprises and to exceed the production figures for the previous year in potassium chloride (+ 13.7% by January-March 2018), carbamide (+ 21.6%), ammonium sulfate (+30 , 4%), ammonium nitrate (+ 20.2%), paints and varnishes based on acrylic or vinyl polymers (+ 22.4%), herbicides (+ 19.0%), caustic soda (+ 77.1%) , other nitrogen fertilizers and their mixtures (+ 97.6%), mineral fertilizers containing nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium (+ 64.5%).
The volume of products produced by the enterprises of electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning made up 5.4 trillion soums (8.0% of the total industry).
In the industry in January-March 2019, compared with the corresponding period of last year, the production, transmission and distribution of electricity, steam supply systems and air conditioning increased by 5.5%.
The volume of products produced by water supply, sewerage, waste collection and disposal reached 569.7 billion soums (0.8% of the total industry).
Compared with the corresponding period of last year, there is an increase in recycled materials containing aluminum by 2.4 times, recycled materials containing copper by 3.6 times, services for emptying, cleaning and processing cesspools, septic tanks and septic tanks by 2.1 times, services for the treatment and distribution of water through pipelines - by 19.5%, services for the disposal, transportation of wastewater and their treatment - by 54.2%, services for the collection of non-hazardous waste - by 66.7%.
As a result of measures taken to expand the range and stimulate the production of finished products, consumer goods production amounted to 19.2 trillion soums and, compared with the corresponding period of 2018, increased by 18.3%, the share in the total industry amounted to 28.5%.
Compared to the same period of 2018, in the structure of consumer goods in January-March 2019, there was an increase in the share of non-food products from 66.8% to 69.0%.
In the structure of the production of food products, the production of wine-vodka products and beer was 7.7% (9.3% in January-March 2018).
During the reporting period, enterprises with foreign investment produced goods to 24.6 trillion soums.
The share of products of enterprises with foreign investments in the total production volume amounted to 36.5%.
In the total volume of products of enterprises with foreign investments, the share of mining and quarrying enterprises made up 22.1% and manufacturing industry - 77.8%.
In the structure of industrial output of the republic, the largest share falls on Tashkent region (15.9% of the republican industry), Tashkent (14.6%), Navoi (14.0%), Andijan (10.6%), Kashkadarya (6.8%) and Ferghana (6.1%) regions.
The consistent implementation of measures to increase the industrial potential of the regions contributed to a significant increase in industrial production in Andijan (+ 19.2%), Samarkand (+ 17.0%), Khorezm (+ 8.8%), Tashkent (+ 8.2%), Namangan (+ 5.7%) and Ferghana (+ 5.5%) regions.
At the same time, there was a significant increase in the production of consumer goods in Andijan (+ 54.3%), Khorezm (+ 18.9%), Syrdarya (+ 12.9%), Surkhandarya (+ 9.2%) and Ferghana (+9, 0%) regions.
At the same time, it should be noted that the largest share of consumer goods was produced in Andijan region (29.2% of the total consumer goods of the republic), Tashkent (18.4%), Samarkand (8.2%) and Tashkent (8.0 %) regions.
Analysis of the differentiation of industrial output per capita showed an excess of the average Republican indicator (2.02 million soums) in the Navoi region (9.59 million soums), Tashkent (3.92 million soums), Tashkent (3.7 million soums) and Andijan (2.32 million soums) regions.
The production of consumer goods per capita in the reporting period in the republic amounted to 576,700 soums, including in Andijan region – 1.82 million soums, Tashkent city – 1.4 million soums, Khorezm region – 564,600 soums, Syrdarya region – 556,900 soums, Navoi region – 577,600 soums and Tashkent region – 530,000 soums.
During the reporting period, small businesses produced goods to 18.4 trillion soums.
The share of small business in the total production amounted to 27.3%.
In terms of regions, the largest share of small business was observed in the city of Tashkent (68.3% of the total industry of the region), Namangan (63.3%), Jizzakh (50.5%), Surkhandarya (45.5%), Samarkand (43.1%), Ferghana (34.3%) and Syrdarya (34.0%) regions. At the same time, the smallest share of small businesses in the regions was noted in Navoi (9.9%) and Kashkadarya (15.1%) regions, the Republic of Karakalpakstan (16.9%), as well as in Andijan (17.2%) and Tashkent ( 17.8%) areas.
To date, 62,400 industrial enterprises operate in the republic, of which 14,100 (22.6% of the total number of operating enterprises) are in Tashkent, 6,900 (11.0%) - on Ferghana, 6,300 (10.1%) - in Tashkent region.
In January-March 2019, 6455 industrial enterprises were again created in the republic, of which more than 52.4% are in the city of Tashkent, Bukhara, Tashkent, Samarkand and Ferghana regions.
The development of industrial production in the republic was also facilitated by the implementation of the Program for localizing the production of finished products, components and materials, within which 447 projects produced products for 3.3 trillion soums, exported localized products - by US$108.8 million, 1071 new jobs were created.
Compared to the same period of last year, in January-March 2019, the number of newly created jobs increased by 2.7 times. However, compared with January-March 2018, there is a decrease in the volume of production and export of localized products.
