Rectors discuss prospects for cooperation

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Embassy of Uzbekistan in Israel organized negotiations in the form of a video conference between the leadership of the Holon Institute of Technology (HIT) of Israel, Bukhara State University (BSU) and the Bukhara Engineering-Technological Institute (BITI).
HIT President Eduard Yakubov, BSU Rector Obidjon Khamidov and BITI Rector Nusratullo Barakayev discussed cooperation between the universities of the two countries, outlined the priorities for future partnerships, including the exchange of teachers and students, the training of specialists in popular disciplines, the introduction of information technologies and modern teaching methods process.
It was agreed that a representative delegation of HIT will visit Bukhara in May 2019 to familiarize themselves with the activities of BSU and BITI, to hold the first joint scientific and practical conference STEMM (science, technology, education, mathematics and medicine).
In addition, during the visit, the parties intend to agree on the opening of a joint faculty on the basis of the BSU, within which will be taught, including with the involvement of Israeli teachers, such disciplines as applied mathematics, industrial design, advanced technologies and methods in educational activities.
With the assistance of HIT at BITI, it is planned to develop and implement a training program for in-depth training of specialists in the field of information technology, engineering, rational and alternative energy, and electrical engineering.
HIT voiced an invitation to BSU to take part in the international mathematical conference "Harmonious Analysis and Equation of Partial Derivatives", which will be held in Israel on 26-31 May with the participation of representatives from leading educational institutions of Israel, Russia, USA, UK, Germany, France, Italy , Spain and several other countries.
At the end of the conversation, Eduard Yakubov invited his colleagues from BSU and BITI to visit the HIT to familiarize themselves with the activities of its faculties and further strengthen inter-university relations.
