A delegation of Uzbekistan hold a series of meetings with Turkish city planners

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A delegation consisting of representatives of the Ministry of Construction and the General Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Uzbekistan is in the Republic of Turkey to study advanced foreign experience in the field of urban planning.
During the meetings and talks in Ankara, an exchange of views takes place between Uzbek and Turkish experts on the design, construction of housing complexes and public facilities. A number of events took place during the visit. In particular, a briefing seminar was held at the embassy of our country in Ankara, where Uzbek specialists were provided with detailed information about Turkish urban planning.
In addition, Erkin Iskandarov, the head of the delegation - Deputy Minister of Construction of Uzbekistan, met with his Turkish counterparts Mujahit Demirtas and Fatma Varank, as well as with the Secretary General of the Union of Construction Engineers and Architects of the Turkic World Ilyas Demirdci.
During the visit, an Uzbek-Turkish seminar-forum on the exchange of experience in the field of construction was held. At it, our specialists familiarized Turkish colleagues with information on the goals and objectives of the State Program for the implementation of the Action Strategy for the five priority areas of development of the Republic of Uzbekistan in 2017-2021 in the “Year of active investments and social development”.
Representatives of Uzbekistan held talks with the management of the financial institution Ilbank, which assists in the implementation of projects for the construction of public facilities and residential complexes in the regions of Turkey. Uzbek officials learnt the experience of the Turkish Housing Administration (TOKİ), the Union of Building Contractors of Turkey (TMB), the Confederation of Building Turkish contractors (İMKON) and other specialized institutions.
An intensive exchange of experience and useful practical information continues. The parties reached specific agreements, including on establishing mutual partnerships, exchanging visits and regulatory documents. The sides agreed to hold this year a number of joint events, including a business forum in the field of construction in Tashkent and the International Forum of modern projects of building engineering and architecture.
The representatives of Turkey highly appreciated the cardinal reforms carried out in Uzbekistan in all spheres, as well as the positive dynamics of the Uzbek-Turkish relations.
