Deputy dean of university arrested for bribe

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Deputy deat of Tashkent State Agrarian University was arrested when he was taking a bribe for 600,000 soums from the second-year student, the General Prosecutor’s Office of Uzbekistan said.
The dean was taking bribe to allow the student to enter final exams.
In addition, dean voluntarily passed 4.6 million soums, which he took in exchange for admission to the exams of 11 students who regularly skipped classes.
A criminal case under clause “c” of part 3 of Article 168 of the Criminal Code was initiated against a deputy dean. Investigative actions are being conducted.
