Russia and Central Asian countries discuss cooperation issues
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Sergey Lavrov met with the heads of diplomatic missions of Central Asian states on 1 February.
According to the press service of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Zakir Zaitov, Charge d’affaires of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the Russian Federation, took part in the meeting.
During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on a number of general topical issues.
The diplomats examined the directions of practical cooperation between Russia and the states of Central Asia in interests of ensuring stability, security and development in the region.
The parties agreed that meetings in this format will be held on a periodic basis.
