Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan Temir Yollari (Uzbekistan Railways) plans to commission a “three-tier” interchange by the end of 2019.
Grand transformations are continuing in Tashkent: large-scale projects are being implemented, and multi-faceted construction in various directions is proceeding at an intensive pace. One of the most significant is the development of transport communications. This can be clearly seen in the example of our capital. New roads, wide highways, bridges and overpasses, increasing throughput, significantly solve the problems of traffic congestion. It should be emphasized that highly qualified domestic experts are working on the project implementation at all its stages - from development to commissioning.
The unique construction is being carried out these days on one of the construction sites of the city. On the initiative of our Head of State, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, at the intersection of Akhangaran and Parkent streets, the country’s first three-level traffic intersection is being built. The development of the project is entrusted to JSC "Boshtransloyiha", whose specialists have extensive experience in the construction of such facilities. The development is based on global standards.
According to the project, the construction of a tunnel with a length of 484, a width of 26.7 and a vertical dimension of 5.5 meters is planned for the first phase of construction. Each direction of the road will be three-lane. This section of the route will be equipped with lighting and drainage systems. At the second stage of construction, it is planned to erect a circular overpass, which will be 50 meters in diameter and 1 meter above the ground level.
It is noteworthy that the restoration of the bridge connecting the Airport-Vostochny and Makhtumkuli streets located in this territory is also planned. This direction will provide convenience of movement for drivers of vehicles moving towards the cities of Parkent, Chirchik and Bostanlyk of the Tashkent region.
In addition, it is planned to build a modern highway on this section of the road, which will make it possible to shorten the distance by 20 km in this direction. The total length of the three-level overpass will be 618 meters, width 30 meters. The circular track is designed for 6 roads.
Today, intensive work is underway on the construction of the tunnel. Specialists and workers of the Kuprikkurilish Trust enterprise under the JSC “Uzbekistan Railways” are involved in this work. By the end of this year, this facility will be put into operation.
