Senate ratifies IOM Constitution

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan approved a law “On ratification of the Constitution of the International Organization for Migration (Brussels, 19 October 1953)”.

It should be recalled that the 109th session of the Council of the UN Agency for Migration, which took place in November 2018 in Geneva, voted in favor of supporting the application of the Republic of Uzbekistan to join IOM as a member country. In the result, total number of member countries of the IOM reached 173.
