First meeting of coordination group of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan takes place

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The first meeting of the Coordination Group of the Ministries of Internal Affairs of Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan chaired by the First Deputy Ministers of Internal Affairs of two states was held in Almaty.
The First Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Kazakhstan, Zhanat Suleimenov, and the First Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Uzbekistan, Davron Nazarmukhamedov, as well as the heads of central office services of the two ministries of the two countries participated in the Coordination Group, the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kazakhstan reports.
During the meeting, priority issues of cooperation of internal affairs bodies in countering cross-border crime, as well as in the fight against extremism and terrorism were discussed.
Following the review, the Minutes of the Ministerial Coordination Group meeting was signed, which includes joint organizational and practical measures.
The deputy ministers also familiarized themselves with the work of the Central Asian Regional Information Coordination Center on combating illicit trafficking in narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances and their precursors (CARICC) and met with its leadership.
The next meeting of the Coordination Group is scheduled to be held in Uzbekistan next year.
