Balance of migration become minus 12,300 people

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- In January-September 2018, the number of arrivals in Uzbekistan made up 121,700 people, the State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan said.
According to the committee, the number of internal migrants was 119,800 and external – 1,900 people.
In January-September 2018, the number of people leaving has exceeded 134,000 people (internal – 119,800 people, external – 14,200 people).
The migration balance was minus 12,300 people, and in the same period of 2017 – 14,900 people.
The high level of migration balance falls on Tashkent (minus 4,100 people), Kashkadarya (minus 2,100 people) regions and the Republic of Karakalpakstan (minus 3,100 people).
The number of people, who arrived in Uzbekistan for permanent residence from abroad amounted to 1,961 people. About 31% of people arrived in Uzbekistan from Kazakhstan, 28.3% from Tajikistan, 25.3% from Russia, 3.7% from Turkmenistan and 2.4% from Kyrgyzstan.
The number of those, who left Uzbekistan for permanent residence abroad, reached 14,195 people. Of these, 48.1% went to Kazakhstan, 46% to Russia, 1.3% to the United States, 0.7% to Israel and 0.5% to Tajikistan.
