MPs discuss several draft laws

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- MPs discussed a number of draft laws at a regular meeting of the Legislative Chamber of Oliy Majlis, which was held on 9 October 2018.
MPs considered a draft law “On science”. The document is directed at developing and supporting science and scientific potential of Uzbekistan, strengthening interaction of science, education and companies, as well as introducing scientific developments into production.
The document determines main principles, sources and forms of financing scientific and scientific-technical activities.
According to the deputies, the adoption of this draft law will ensure the streamlining of legal, financial, socio-economic relations in scientific and scientific-technical fields. The draft law was passed in the first reading.
MPs of Legislative Chamber discussed a draft law “On Tourism” in a new edition. The document was considered in the first reading and creates legal conditions for formation of a modern, highly efficient and competitive tourism industry in the country.
The draft law reflects the norms, aimed at creating organizational conditions for development of domestic and foreign tourism in the country, ensuring stability, clarity and flexibility of legal regulation of relations in the field of tourism, as well as increasing income from tourism to budgets of all levels by creating legal mechanisms, ensuring transparency activities of subjects in the field of tourism, ensuring consonance, the compliance of our laws with international legal documents regulating relations in the field of tourism.
MPs discussed a draft law “On introducing amendments and addenda to the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On administrative supervision of the internal affairs bodies for persons released from punitive institutions”, “On introducing amendments and addenda to legislative acts of the Republic of Uzbekistan” and “On introducing changes and additions to the Consular Charter of the Republic of Uzbekistan”.
