Uzbekneftegaz and French Petroleum Institute plan to cooperate in several directions
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Bakhrom Ashrafkhanov, Chairman of the Board of Uzbekneftegaz, held a meeting with Pierre-Henry Bjeard, Vice-President of the French Oil Institute of IFP Energies Nouvelles (IFPEN).
During the meeting, issues on further development of bilateral relations were discussed and a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed, which defines the framework and directions for future relations in the oil and gas sector, both with the Institute itself and with its affiliated companies.
In accordance with the Memorandum, it is planned to consider a number of areas of cooperation. Among them are scientific support for geological exploration and the study of oil and gas potential of investment blocks with the company “Beicip Franlab” (France) and its possible involvement as an independent auditor and expert.
The sides plan to develop optimal solutions with the company (France) to improve the quality of the products produced at the existing refining capacities with minimal capital investments. Axens is one of the world leaders in oil and gas processing and petrochemistry. This company has already been involved in the construction of Bukhara and the modernization of the Fergana oil refineries.
The parties will organize various training for specialists with attraction of IFPEN experts.
At the same time, close cooperation with IFPEN on the creation of an innovative center for deep processing of natural gas of Uzbekneftegaz is envisaged.
