Number of foreign citizens, entering Uzbekistan, reaches 2.68 million people

The number of foreign citizens, who entered Uzbekistan in the first half of 2018, made up 2.688 million people, which is 91.6% more compared to the same period of 2017.
According to the press service of the State Committee for Tourism, the number of tourists from countries, for which a visa-free regime was introduced, increased significantly.
In particular, more than 31,960 people (+ 95.6%) came from Turkey, 6,200 people (68.1%) from Japan, 3,610 people (+ 86.2%) from Israel, 750 people (more than three times) from Indonesia, as well as 424 people (more than 2.5 times) from Singapore.
In June, there was an increase in the number of people who arrived from the Republic of Korea (57.5%) and Malaysia (2.6 times), although there was a slight decline until May 2018.
