State Tax Committee, IMF discuss reforms in tax sector

On 7 March 2018, the Chairman of the State Tax Committee of Uzbekistan Botir Parpiev accepted a mission of the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
According to the press service of the State Tax Commission, the parties discussed tax administration issues, annual assessment of the IMF of Uzbekistan’s economic development.
The sides considered the issues of modernization of tax authorities in order to provide additional revenues to the budget system.
The issues of increasing the transparency of tax authorities were also discussed at the expense of a significant expansion of the electronic services when interacting with taxpayers.
The parties considered the issues of reducing interventions in the activities of business entities, as well as reducing the tax burden.
