Bus catches fire in Kazakhstan, killing 52 Uzbek citizens

A bus caught fire in Aktau region of Kazakhstan on Thursday, killing 52 citizens of Uzbekistan, the Kazakh Interior Ministry’s emergency committee said on Thursday.
The bus was traveling along a road in Kazakhstan’s north-western Aktau region, which links the Russian city of Samara to Shymkent.
There were 55 passengers and two drivers in the bus, the Kazakh emergency body said. All passengers were citizens of Uzbekistan.
Only five people managed to escape the burning vehicle, the interior ministry’s emergencies department added. They are receiving medical and psychological assistance.
