Delegation of Ministry of Interior Affairs of Uzbekistan visits St. Petersburg to study the Emergency Call System

A delegation of the Ministry of Interior Affairs of Uzbekistan visited Saint Petersburg (Russia) in early December to familiarize with the advanced information technologies used in the work of duty police units and crisis management centers.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Interior Affairs of Uzbekistan, the delegation of Uzbekistan got acquainted with the activity of the emergency call system of operational services on the single number “112” and the call processing center.
It should be noted that it is planned to implement a pilot project of the system of calling emergency operational services with single number “112” in Samarkand city within “Safe City” project.
The system will unite the information systems of the fire safety service, protection of public order and prevention of violations of the law enforcement bodies, emergency medical care, emergency service of the gas network and rescue service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
Within the framework of the visit, the delegation of Uzbekistan visited the Duty Unit of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Interior Affairs and the Crisis Management Center of the Emergencies Ministry for St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region.
Specialists of the Ministry of Interior Affairs had an opportunity to visit an enterprise, engaged in development and implementation of advanced information technologies, which formed the basis for an emergency call system for operational services on a single number.
For the delegation of the Ministry of Interior Affairs of Uzbekistan, a presentation of the architecture of the information system of the service “101” was made. The Russian side presented an IT solution for building the 112 system, which integrated information systems of emergency response services.
The parties discussed the prospects for introducing these systems into the activities of the duty services of the Interior Affairs bodies of Uzbekistan, taking into account the specifics of our region.
During the visit, the delegation also got acquainted with the operation of the radio communication system, video surveillance systems, the security monitoring system and the call processing center, which enabled Uzbek specialists to assess the practical possibilities of advanced information and communication solutions implemented in St. Petersburg successfully applied by their Russian counterparts.
