President of Uzbekistan signed a decree “On measures on further strengthening payment discipline in the sphere of supply and consumption of electric power and natural gas, as well as radically improving system of enforcement proceedings”.

The decree noted that the system will provide reliable information on the state of mutual settlements with consumers, integrated with electronic payment systems.

The new system will allow consumers to receive electronic data on the existence of debt and make payments.

At the same time, Uzbekistan is creating the unified system of interagency electronic cooperation on debt collection.

This system should improve the efficiency of debt collection through use of databases on the property status of individuals and legal entities.
