Uzbek leader said in his message that convincing victory of Nazarbaev in presidential elections shows clear indication of high confidence and support of people of Kazakhstan of the public-political and social-economic reforms, conducted under his guidance, directed at ensuring prosperity of Kazakh people and improving authority and role in international arena.

President of Uzbekistan expressed his assurance that development and strengthening of bilateral relations, based on good neighborhood and mutual respect, will serve interest of people of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan, preserve sustainable peace and stability in the region.

Uzbek leader wished strong health, energy and success to Nursultan Nazarbaev and prosperity and well-being to people of Kazakhstan.

Islam Karimov also congratulated Nursultan Nazarbaev with the victory in presidential elections in Kazakhstan during phone conversation.

Presidents of two states discussed actual issues of bilateral cooperation and implementation of agreements, reached during the official visit of the President of Uzbekistan to Kazakhstan in November 2014.

The telephone conversation was held on the initiative of the Uzbek side.
