Painting of Paolo Veronese revealed in Uzbekistan
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A painting of Great Italian painter Paolo Veronese has been found in Uzbekistan, Ministry of Culture and Sport Affairs of Uzbekistan Tursunali Kuziev said at the session of the Public Council of the ministry.

During the session, he said that work of Paolo Veronese has been found under layer of paintings of ancient painting. The painting was part of collection of the State Art Museum of Uzbekistan.

The press service of the ministry did not give details about the painting.

Paolo Veronese was an Italian painter of the Renaissance in Venice, famous for paintings such as The Wedding at Cana and The Feast in the House of Levi. He adopted the name Paolo Cagliari or Paolo Caliari, and became known as "Veronese" from his birthplace in Verona.
