State Property Committee of Uzbekistan will own 51.53% stakes of Bekabadcement, which earlier belonged to Kazakhstan-based United Cement Group.
Supervisory Council of Bekabadcement adopted decision on including the State Property Committee to list of the shareholders of the cement producer.
The decision was adopted in line with the ruling of Tashkent regional criminal court, which was adopted in early 2012. On 2 August, general shareholders meeting will be held and the State Property Committee will be approved as shareholder of the plant.
In 2011, prosecutors of Tashkent region opened a criminal case against management of Bekabadcement on illegal production and export of cement, as well as tax evasion.
